Hotel in Asia-Pacific” by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific Magazine from Hong Kong,
for the second consecutive year.

The Business Traveller awards ceremony, held in Hong Kong on 18 September, honoured
the best in the travel industry, based on the results from a poll of the magazine’s
subscribers who are frequent travellers around the world.

Mrs Diana Ee-Tan, President, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are delighted that
Raffles Hotel Singapore has once again received this distinguished award from
Business Traveller magazine. This is possible only with the efforts and dedication
of my colleagues at Raffles Hotel Singapore in fulfilling the promise of delivering
enchanting and memorable experiences for our residents. Raffles Hotel Singapore
recently celebrated its 121st anniversary, on 16th September, and this award
certainly gives us additional cause to celebrate”.

Staff at Raffles Hotel were elated by this recognition. Mrs Yoko Massang, Director
of Housekeeping, said, “Raffles Hotel has come a long way since her glorious
reopening after a complete restoration in 1991. Having been with the Hotel for over
seventeen years, it gives me great pleasure to see her grow from strength to
strength as a fine Grand Dame of modern days”.

Senior Butler, Mr Mohamad Faizal Bin Abdul Rashid added, “It is our role to create
lasting and unmatched experiences for our residents and patrons on a daily basis.
However, seeing our efforts bear fruit with the winning of such an extraordinary
award definitely spurs me on to go the extra mile in upholding the great reputation

Raffles Hotel was honoured as one of the Top 100 World’s Best Hotels by readers of
Travel + Leisure magazine in its August 2008 issue, and voted Best Hotel In Asia by
Ultratravel Magazine, a publication of the prestigious The Daily Telegraph from the
United Kingdom in May 2008.
